VIVO Z1 PRO DESIGN AND CONNECTIVITY

The Vivo Z1 Pro provides an eye-catching glossy multicolored gradient design giving a totally modern look to the phone. The phone feels a bit bulky in hand yet quite sturdy. The gradient design of Vivo Z1 Pro is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides. The device comes with Sonic Blue and Sonic Black color variants.
The right side of the phone contains volume rocker and power on-off buttons. The top side of the phone is completely blank. The bottom side contains speaker grills, microphone, micro USB port, and 3.5 mm jack. The left contains the sim card tray and a special button for calling Google Assistant or the Vivo's own assistant called 'Jovi'.The sim tray is dual nano with a dedicated SD card slot which is a good feature. The back is a polycarbonate back carrying the fingerprint sensor and rear cameras.
Vivo Z1 Pro comes with a 6.52" FHD+ display. However, the display of the device is not AMOLED.
Also, the Vivo Z1 Pro connects Wifi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, Dual 4G/LTE  and has all necessary sensors.

VIVO Z1 PRO CAMERAS AND SOFTWARE

Vivo is a brand that has always come up with promising cameras. This time is no exception. The device comes with an AI Triple Camera which includes a 16-MP(f/1.78) rear camera accompanied by an 8-MP(f/2.4) wide and a 2MP(f/2.0) bokeh with a flash. The front camera is, follows the new trend, a 32MP in-display selfie camera.
The camera includes all required necessary features that will satisfy a mobile photographer. The device captures beautiful images with good detail, high dynamic range and accurate colors. Natural and artificial textures looked great in most shots. Wide-angle shots are a key feature of Vivo Z1 Pro camera's making this phone stand out. Image stabilization and edge detection work well. The night performance of this phone is also appreciable and the noise was mostly under control. Yet, blur can easy be observed in shots of objects in motion. The front selfie camera captured decent photos as expected from Vivos cameras. However, the portrait mode or depth effect is not usable for the front camera. Vivo Z1 Pro shoot 4K videos at 30fps. Videos can be shot at a wide-angle and standard angle. However, we found the video stabilization to not work well and the videos were a bit shaky.
The Vivo Z1 Pro runs on the new Funtouch OS 9 UI which is a heavily modified version of Android 9 Pie. There is no App drawer and all the apps are found by swiping the screen which follows the 'iOS-style'. Vivo Z1 Pro comes with preinstalled apps including V-Appstore, Vivo Browser, Vivocloud data backup service, Easyshare file sharing tool, I theme and I Manager. Fortunately, all these are customizable and can easily be removed. Funtouch OS has some useful features such as one tap screenshots, app cloning, and USB file sharing. Vivo's own assistant called 'Jovi' is always present there to assist you and can easily be accessed by pressing the button on the left side of the device below the sim card tray.

VIVO Z1 PRO PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY LIFE

VIVO Z1 PRO PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY LIFE

The Vivo Z1 Pro is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor with two variants of 4GB and 6GB RAM making it the first Indian phone to feature SD 712. The power of SD 712 is clearly visible while working on the phone. Even after opening 40 apps in background switching between them was smooth.
The gaming performance of the smartphone is also appreciable. High-end games such as PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9: Legends worked on High graphics settings. The experience of playing them was butter smooth though the device became a bit warm while gaming. Vivo Z1 Pro features the Game box mode which brings many new features for gamers such as preventing calls and notifications while gaming and optimizing the device for a better gaming experience.
With light to moderate usage, we concluded that the massive 5000 mAh battery can easily last two days. Heavy usage drains the battery fastly but the Vivo Z1 Pro supports what Vivo calls "Dual Engine fast charging" technology with the 18 W charger that came along with the mobile accessories. As far as we tested the device charged up pretty quickly and can easily meet the expectations of buyers.

Also, the AI cameras and the in-display selfie camera brings an attractive look along with attractive shots which will make the phone a good option for mobile photography enthusiasts.
